Important Notice: This is the secondary opener (for dual gate installations) to the 6500-080 primary model. This operator does not have a control board and cannot work without the primary gate operator. It is the tandem piece that allows both gates to operate.
Even though it is a complimentary piece, this mirror motor will follow the flow and path of its boss, giving you the best and most uniform visual and physical entry effect. This 6500 secondary motor opens a full 90° in approximately 12-14 seconds. Like it’s compatriot, it too is mounted on a steel frame plated for corrosion resistance. It sports a two-piece articulating arm with mechanical slow start / slow stop functions.
Keyed access to release arm for manual gate operation is easy breezy and it boasts a polyurethane housing to protect it from the elements. Since you are selecting a dual Swing Gate System, this secondary gate must conform with the prime gate, meaning besides coordinating the two devices, there may be a few things to keep in mind.
Keep the hinges serviced, well greased all the time. Make certain both gates swing smoothly. Insure that neither of your gates is not dragging the ground. That will stress either or both motors and quickly burn one of them out.
This is one durable gate for single or double gate entries.
